iMed.UL is a research centre located at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon. The mission of iMed.UL is to foster fundamental research at the interface between biology and chemistry aimed at understanding the genetic and molecular basis of human diseases and improving the development of novel therapeutic agents and medicines, using a translational research approach.
iMed.UL research activities are focused in the research programs of eight research units:
Molecular and Cell Biology of Eukaryotic Systems, Neuron Glia Biology in Health and Disease, Metabolism and Genetics, Chemical Biology and Toxicology, Medicinal Chemistry, Nanomedicine and Drug Delivery Systems, Pharmacological Sciences, Pharmacoepidemiology and Social Pharmacy.
